Hand Therapy

We provide therapy for people with problems in their forearm, wrists, hands & fingers

These problems may result in pain, stiffness, swelling or joint deformity, affecting your ability to perform work tasks, play sports, and perform various activities of daily living. The problems may be due to bone fracture, arthritis, joint dislocations, sporting injuries, tendon and nerve injury, crush injuries, overuse injuries, neuropathies, chronic pain, deQuervains tendinitis or carpal tunnel syndrome.

Hand therapy will include a thorough assessment of your problem, advice on how you can manage it, a home program of exercises and postural correction, and fabrication of appropriate splints and supports. If necessary, you may also be referred for Xrays or asked to organize a referral to see a Hand Surgeon for their opinion and surgical expertise.

We are pleased to offer our patients a personal login to our exercise database, to view instructional videos an educational material specific to their rehabilitation.

Plaster Casts

An orthopedic cast or plaster cast is a shell, frequently made from plaster or fiberglass, encasing a limb (or, in some cases, large portions of the body) to stabilize and hold anatomical structures, most often a broken bone (or bones), in place until healing is confirmed. We offer both waterproof & non-waterproof plaster casts to make our services financially accessible & competitive to a wide range of people.

Pre-Moulded Hand, Wrist & Thumb Braces

Wrist Braces are rigid or soft medical devices that wrap around the wrist to help prevent and/or treat injuries. A wrist brace may be used to support, protect, compress or immobilize the wrist joint, bones and ligaments during injury rehabilitation, and to ease pain and stiffness from chronic conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and tendinitis.
